Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment

As public servants, we at Plymouth County Parking are committed to ensuring that our web platform and all functions therein are accessible to all of the public. We recognize that achieving full accessibility is an ongoing journey and are actively working to enhance the accessibility of this website, as well as implementing organization-wide changes to improve the usability and inclusivity of all our digital touchpoints.

Standards and guidelines

Our target for conformance is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Levels A & AA, in compliance with Title II of the ADA (The Americans with Disabilities Act). These guidelines set the standard to make web content accessible for all. Our technologies are partially conformant, meaning some parts do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

Ongoing efforts

We are currently undergoing significant changes to ensure our digital content and services are accessible to everyone, including:

  • Feature additions: We are committed to implementing new features over the coming weeks and months to further include more of the public. We recognize we have many more features to implement to include everyone, and are engaged in ongoing development to release these features to the public.

  • Regular audits and remediation: We regularly test our website using automated tools and manual evaluations to identify accessibility issues and prioritize their remediation.

  • User feedback and testing: We actively seek feedback from users with disabilities to inform our accessibility improvements and validate changes.

  • 3rd party verification: We do not just rely on our own expertise; we partner with third-party accessibility experts to confirm and verify our efforts.

  • Policy changes: We are implementing new policy and process changes at all levels of our organization to support accessibility.

  • Education: We provide training at all levels to support our digital offerings. This ensures that accessibility concepts are understood and implemented properly.
